Day 1
Overnight flight to Sri Lanka.
Day 2
Arrive into Colombo Airport where you will be met by your private chauffeur guide and vehicle. You will be driven 2.5 hours inland to Kitugala where you will stay at a riverside camp. Remainder of the day is at leisure to relax after your long-haul journey.
Day 3
Day at leisure to partake in some resort activities such as white water rafting, kayaking and abseiling (payable locally).
Day 4
Another day at leisure to enjoy some high adrenalin adventures (payable locally)!
Day 5
Today transfer to your next accommodation in the Knuckles Mountain Range, an area of truly outstanding natural beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage Conservation Area. Journey time is in the region of 3.5 hours. Rest of the day is at leisure to settle into your new surroundings and enjoy the beautiful views!
Day 6
This morning take a trek in the Knuckles Mountain Range to explore its crystal clear waterfalls and endemic flora and fauna. The final destination is 1864m above sea level, the distance covered is approx 7.5km and the full trek will take 4-6 hours. On return to your hotel you have the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or enjoy another resort activity.
Day 7
Transfer north to the Cultural Triangle, a journey of approximately 3 hours. Late afternoon climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka's most iconic attractions.
Day 8
Early morning take a hike up Pidurangala Rock for sunrise and to enjoy the 360 degrees views including Sigiriya Rock and the jungle below. This afternoon enjoy a bicycle ride through the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, the second great capital of Sri Lanka.
Day 9
Today transfer to Wilpattu National Park with a tour of the Sacred City of Anuradhapura along the way. On arrival at your tented camp you have the remainder of the day to explore your authentic, safari surroundings.
Day 10
Head out on a full days 4x4 jeep safari with an experienced guide/tracker, a packed breakfast and a packed lunch! Wilpattu is home to a variety of birds, elephant, sloth bear, wild pigs and crocodiles. A number of leopard also live within the park, although these illusive creatures are more difficult to spot. Enjoy dinner round the camp fire this evening for a real safari experience!
Day 11
Make the short journey (approximately 1.5 hours) to Kalpitiya for your beach stay. Adrenaline junkies can opt for activities such a water skiing, wind surfing and kite surfing - the activity that Kalpitiya has become famous for! (All activities at leisure are payable locally).
Day 12
Early morning take a dolphin watching boat trip (Dec-Apr). Kalpitiya is one of the best spots for dolphin watching in Sri Lanka. If you are lucky with sightings you can witness massive pods of dolphins in their natural habitat! Afternoon at leisure.
Day 13
Final day at leisure for more water sports or if you prefer a more laid back final day you can hire a bicycle to explore the local town, try your hand at some yoga or fishing or simply relax by the beach or pool!
Day 14
Transfer south to Colombo Airport for your flight home. This journey should take in the region of 3-3.5 hours.

Sri Lanka’s towering peaks and mountains, rough terrain, trekking trails, wild rivers, high waterfalls and sweeping, golden beaches make for a thrilling and active holiday for any adventure enthusiast.  This trip begins with a stay at a riverside camp near Kitulgala which is the place to go for white-water rafting plus other high-adrenaline activities such as canyoning (rock sliding), kayaking and abseiling. Onward to the Knuckles Mountain Range where you can focus on jungle trekking and hill walking to take in the magnificent views and birdlife that surrounds you.

Next you travel to Sigiriya in the famous Cultural Triangle which has plenty of activities on offer including climbing Pidurangala Rock at sunrise and cycling round the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa. You then travel north west to Wilpattu National Park for a real safari experience  where you stay in tented accommodation and have the chance to see leopard!  The last destination of the trip is Kalpitiya where you can take a whale and dolphin watching boat trip (Dec-Apr), partake in some kite-surfing (May-Oct) or enjoy some of the other activities on offer such as wind surfing, water-skiing, yoga and snorkelling.
