Sri Lanka is a fantastic honeymoon destination; it’s tiny in size yet it packs so much in, including incredible beaches, so you can spend more time enjoying your honeymoon rather than travelling from A to B. If you’re heading on honeymoon during the UK summer months (May-Sep) then we suggest keeping north and east to avoid the rains. On the east coast there are some incredible untouched beaches;  take a look at Jungle Beach as the perfect honeymoon escape! If you are travelling from November to April then keep west and slightly south; here the weather will be drier. It’s here you’ll find glorious beaches and the delightful town of Galle.

For those who like to keep off-the-beaten-track then consider Gal Oya National Park; recently opened up, this wildlife destination feels incredibly remote and romantic, and you can even enjoy private picnic while you are out on safari.
